The power of the church is the power of everybody, men and women, young and old, sharing their gifts to support the work of the church. Photo Ministry Coordinator
At Bracebridge United there is often a lot going on and the whole congregation enjoys being able to see pictures of the fun at these events. The sharing of this joy is what this ministry contributes to the church.
This position could be done by one person
who enjoys working independently or by two people
who are good at working in a coordinated way and sharing the load. One person could be a technical person who is good at digitally receiving and sending pictures and a partner who enjoys creating a display for the congregation to enjoy the photographs.
Steps involved in the photo ministry:
1) Check the church calendar on the website to determine events happening each month. Email
photographers to ensure that most of these events will be photographed by one of them.
2) Photographers send you the pictures digitally. You select 8 to 12 photos representing this
month’s events.
3) You send those photos digitally to be developed. At the same time you send these photos to the
webmaster for display on the church’s website.
4) The photos are picked up and displayed on a bulletin board in the narthex for all to enjoy. The
webmaster will also have them displayed.
Some seasons will have many more events than others. Before Christmas, there can be more events that could be covered. Summer will have fewer events.
