We are glad you stopped by here for a visit and we hope that you will be able to come out and join us so we can meet face to face. We are an interesting collection of people. Some of us have been here for a long time, maybe even generations. Others of us are fairly new to Muskoka. Some of us are pretty comfortable moving in church circles, others of us are trying it on for the first time. One thing we know for sure, here at BUC (that’s code for Bracebridge United Church), is that everyone is welcome. Our tag line says it best, “Come as you are!” 

We are a faith community. That means we like to hear and tell the stories of Jesus. We support one another through prayer and study and in weekly worship. Life can offer big challenges and, for many of us, the church is a place we want to be when things are going well and in times of need.  

We are a congregation that is pretty connected to social concerns too. We are an affirming congregation providing a place of welcome to all. We reach out into the community through our weekly Out of the Cold dinner held every week from October to May. And we support community groups like the Food Bank and the YWCA. Our building is home to many community groups like AA, NA, and the Hospice Grief group.

We believe that God is found in a richer and deeper way in our coming together in the wonder of community. We hope you will find a welcome and a place to belong through the various programs and activities here at BUC.
